History of Sneakers Revealed
Sneaker is considered as one of the world’s well renowned physiological footwear. They are basically sport shoes designed to be worn by athletes, gymnastics, army people, players etc. They are usually designed for exercises and other activities but with passing time, it has gained popularity and fame among the youngsters who want their feet to be protected by sneakers all the time. Since then, sneakers have become a casual wear and support the feet even if worn twenty four hours seven days.
There are many names of sneakers like trainers, sandshoes, gym boots, joggers, running shoes, runners, gutties, tennis shoes, sneaks, tackies, rubber shoes, canvar as the material used in making them is mostly rubber and canvas. The sole is made by canvas whereas the heel is made from rubber.
Sneaker was made by an American, Charles Goodyear who vulcanized the rubber and from there, got the idea of making this shoe. In the earlier 1917, a company known as Spalding Company also manufactured a similar kind of shoes designed to wear at the game of basketball and tennis hence sneakers are also referred to as tennis shoes. Hence, with time people started producing rubber shoes which were not proper but quite comfortable and from here the concept of real sneakers begin. Hence, the bicycle shops which used to have excessive amount of rubber with them also started making rubber shoes and then market them for uses and many of the sporty people got attracted and started buying it. Now, sneakers are made by very recognized brands too like Nike, PUMA, Adidas, Reebok, Diesel etc.
Sneakers are designed in such a way that they can hold the impact of the foot completely, making the wearer feel comfortable and relaxed and since the material used is relatively light, so there is no weight on the foot while performing activities and sporting. The sole is very flexible and the user can bend with much ease and are available in all sizes but mostly in large sizes as the athletes and gymnastics have large feet.
A person wearing sneakers have low chances of having shoe bites and the comfort is at it peak as compared to other kinds of shoes. Since they are also made of suede which is very light and soft, so they are extremely durable and cannot embarrass the user even if maximum pressure is being put on the foot.
Wearing sneakers increases muscles activities, according to some physicians and reduces stress on hip and knee joints.
